In 1987, ex-SA football player Martin Cohen (son of the founder, the late Jack Cohen) decided to partner up with now MD Gerhard Waldauer. Together they built Jack’s Paint from two stores to over 100 stores with over 1000 employees. 

Gerhard credits “faith, good attitude and passion” as the cornerstone of franchise success.  

Learning to have humility in life, that is the lesson Gerhard learned from a chance encounter with Sir Richard Branson more than 20 years ago in Seychelles.
